Smita Pal Adv. Anyasha Das ..for the State Affidavit of service filed by the petitioners is taken on record. Pursuant to work orders issued by the Executive Officer, Falta Panchayat Samity on January 03, 2023 and January 05, 2023 respectively for construction of individual household latrine (Phase-II) the petitioners completed the work successfully and raised bills of Rs.48,24,000/-. The Block Development Officer, Falta Development Block acknowledged completion of the work and requested for funds to the Additional District Magistrate and Additional Executive Officer, South 24 Parganas Zilla Parishad by a letter issued on February 05, 2024. Despite several communications made by the petitioners for clearance of the dues, no payment has been made till date. In view of the fact that the petitioners have successfully completed the work as certified by the Block Development Officer, the Executive Officer, Falta Panchayat Samity, being the 8th respondent is directed to clear the entire dues of the petitioners within 8 weeks from the date of communication of this order. The writ petition is disposed of. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
