Mr. Saugata Dutta …for the State. 1. Petitioner has filed the present writ application praying for expeditious disposal of the appeal pending before the appellate Tribunal. 2. The petitioner is selected in the post of assistant professor but the police verification is pending due to the deletion of the name of the petitioner from the voter list the police verification has not been cleared. He submits that the petitioner has already preferred an appeal before the appellate Tribunal being aggrieved with the deletion of the name of the petitioner from the voter list. Accordingly, he prays for a direction upon the appellate authority for disposal of the appeal as early as possible. 3. Heard the learned counsel for the parties perused the materials on record. 4. This Court finds that due to the deletion of the name of the petitioner from the voter list the verification report is not cleared by the police. 5. Accordingly, the appellate authority is requested to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner as early as 2 possible preferably within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of this order. 6. WPA 14378 of 2026 is disposed of. 7. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all the necessary formalities. (Krishna Rao, J.)
