This writ petition complains of inaction on the part of the respondent Police authorities in not taking steps in terms of the order dated July 24, 2026 passed by the learned District Magistrate Bankura on the petitioner’s application under the 14 of the Securitization and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002. 2. The State is represented. 3. Having heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and having considered the material on record, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent no. 3 to take appropriate steps for implementation of the order dated July 24, 2026 passed by the learned the learned District Magistrate Bankura by intimating the petitioner the costs required to be deposited by 2 the petitioner towards Police assistance and by fixing appropriate date for taking possession of the property mortgaged with the Bank in terms of the order dated July 24, 2026 passed by the learned District Magistrate Bankura in accordance with law. 4. The respondent no. 3 (i.e. the Superintendent of Police, Bankura) or any officer deputed by the said authority shall communicate the cost for Police assistance required to be deposited by the petitioner within a week from date. Upon the bank depositing such police costs, the respondent Police authorities would fix appropriate date preferably within a week from such deposit, for the purpose of handing over possession of the secured asset (i.e. property mortgaged with the Bank) to the petitioner in accordance with law. 5. Accordingly, WPA 20071 of 2026 stands disposed of. No Costs. 6. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities. (Om Narayan Rai, J.)
