ORDER:
1. The present Writ Petition is filed questioning the orders passed by Respondent No.2 in Procgs.No.REV02-32/78/2026- SERII-SEC-CCLA, dated 03.06.2026, posting the Petitioner as Tahsildar in Polavaram district, without considering the case of the Petitioner on spouse grounds, as illegal and arbitrary.
2. The facts in brief are as follows:-
The Petitioner was selected and appointed as Deputy Tahsildar through Group-II notification in the year 2016. While so, the Petitioner was placed at Serial No.65 out of 85 vacancies in the eligibility list for the promotion to the post of Tahsildar (Zone-II) for the panel year 2025-2026 and was posted to Polavaram Mandal and District on promotion vide proceedings, dated 03.06.2026.
3. As the wife of the Petitioner is also working as Ward Sanitation and Environment Secretary, the Petitioner had submitted a representation seeking for continuation of his services as Tahsildar in the available vacancies in the Eluru District. It was further submitted that Petitioner has a young daughter aged about 1½

years. As the representation given by the Petitioner was not being considered, the present Writ Petition is filed.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for services submitted that, in view of the Special Intensive Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls, the State Government had issued G.O.Rt.No.1090 (General Administration (Elections.B) Department), dated 01.06.2026, restraining any changes in the posting of officers, without prior concurrence of the Election Commission of India from the period 05.06.2026 to 22.09.2026. It was further submitted that, in view of the same, the alteration in the posting orders of the Petitioner require concurrence from the Election Commission of India.
5. Heard the counsels.
6. As the wife of the Petitioner is working as Ward Sanitation and Environment Secretary in Jangareddygudem of Eluru District and as they were having a young daughter aged about 1½ years, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with the following directions:- (i) The Respondent-Authorities are directed to consider the representation given by the Petitioner on 04.06.2026 for alternative posting, after obtaining necessary concurrence from the Election Commission of India, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within

a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this
order. (ii) No order as to costs.
7. As a sequel, pending applications, if any, shall stand closed.
