1. This writ petitioner complains of inaction on the part of the respondent Police authorities in not taking steps in terms of the order dated February 26, 2026 passed by the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Contai, Purba Medinipur on the petitioner’s application under the 14 of the Securitization and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act,
2002.

Having heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and having considered the material on record, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent no. 3 to take appropriate steps for implementation of the order dated February 26, 2026 passed by the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Contai, Purba
2 Medinipur by intimating the petitioner the costs required to be deposited by the petitioner towards Police assistance and by fixing appropriate dates for taking possession of the property mortgaged with the Bank in terms of the order dated February 26, 2026 passed by the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Contai, Purba Medinipur in accordance with law.
4. The respondent no. 3 (i.e. the Superintendent of Police) or any officer deputed by the said authority shall communicate the cost for Police assistance required to be deposited by the petitioner within a week from date. Upon the bank depositing such police costs, the respondent Police authorities would fix appropriate date, preferably within a week, from such deposit, for the purpose of handing over possession of the secured asset (i.e. the property mortgaged with the Bank) to the petitioner in accordance with law.
5. Accordingly, WPA 20069 of 2026 stands disposed of. No Costs.
6. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
