Petitioner is similarly situated as the other accused persons who have been granted bail in Special Leave to Appeal SLP (Crl.) No. 4950/2026.
Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail.
I have taken into account the supplementary affidavit submitted by the petitioner which incorporates the order dated 06.05.2026 passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court.
Accordingly, prayer for bail of the petitioner is allowed.
2 Accordingly, Petitioner, namely, Suman Mal shall furnish bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand Only) with two sureties of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) each, one of whom must be local to the satisfaction of Learned Judge, under NDPS Act, 1st Court, Tamluk, Purba Medinipur. If on bail, the petitioners shall be physically present on each and every date fixed before the learned Trial Court and shall not leave the jurisdiction of District of Purba Medinipur without the prior permission of the learned Special Court.
Accordingly, CRM (NDPS) 1623 of 2026 is allowed.
All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
