The present writ petition has been filed seeking for following relief(s):- 10.1 That the Hon’ble may kindly be pleased to issue appropriate writ/direction/order directing the Digitally signed by JYOTI JHA Date: 2026.08.13 12:09:52 +0530 2 respondent authorities to promote the petitioner with effect from the relevant date as per the recommendation of the Review DPC placing him above respondents No.4 and 5. 10.2 That the Hon’ble may kindly be pleased to issue appropriate writ/direction/order directing the respondent to grant all consequential pecuniary benefits to the petitioner including the arrears of salary, and relative seniority for further promotions. 10.3 That the Hon’ble may kindly be pleased to issue appropriate writ/direction/order in favour of petitioner regarding the cost of this petition and to pay compensation quantified to Rs.5,00,000.00 for the hardships suffered by the petitioner due to indifferent attitude of the respondent authorities. 10.4 That the Hon’ble may kindly be pleased to grant any such other relief in favour of petitioner as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit in the interest of Justice. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite the meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee and the recommendation made by the Review DPC, the order of promotion in favour of the petitioner has not yet been passed. He further submits that the petitioner has submitted a representation (Annexure P/7) before the competent authority, which is still pending consideration. He, therefore, confines his prayer to a direction to the competent authority to consider and decide the representation of the petitioner within a stipulated period. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents does not oppose the limited prayer made on behalf of the petitioner. 4. Having considered the submissions made by learned counsel for the parties, the concerned authority is directed to consider and decide the 3 representation (Annexure P/7) of the petitioner in accordance with law within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The petitioner shall be at liberty to submit an additional representation along with all relevant documents, if so advised. 5.
