Kiran Chandra Sikdar and others Vs. Union of India and others. ---------------
Mr. Sk. Imtiaj Uddin. … for the petitioners.
Mr. Ashok Prasad, Mr. Hari Pada Nayak. … for the State.
1. The affidavit of service filed today is taken on record.
2. The petitioners are aggrieved that they have been denied the all arrears of pay resulting from up-gradation of the scale of pay to which they are entitled.
3. The petitioners claim such benefits for the period from January 1, 1996 to December 31, 2005. The petitioners also claim that the increment had been fixed notionally from 1996 till the year 2005 and actual consequential benefits have not been given from 1996 to 2005, but the same has been given only from 2006. Hence, they made representations to the concerned authority on January 18, 2025 and January 27, 2025.
4. Since the representations have not yet been disposed of, I direct the respondent no. 2 or his duly authorized Officer to dispose of such representations within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order in line with the prevalent laws and the order

dated November 24, 2022 relating to the final implication of the diploma holders.
5. With the afore-stated directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
6. There shall, however, be no order as to costs.
7. Since affidavits have not been called for, allegations contained in the petition are deemed to have been denied.
8. All parties to act on a server copy of this order downloaded from the official website of this Hon’ble Court.
