In this writ petition, the petitioner-plaintiff has sought for the following relierf/s: “i) Allow the Above Writ Petition; ii) Issue a Writ of Mandamus or an appropriate direction to the Hon'ble LXV Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge at Bengaluru (CCH-66) at Bengaluru, for disposing the suit in OS No. 5956/2021 at Annexure-A within a period of three (3) months or within a fixed period of time as this Hon'ble court deems fit; iii) Issue any other writ, pass any such other order or directions that this Hon'ble Court deems fit, in the interest of justice and equity.” 2. For the sake of convenience, the parties are referred to as per their ranking before the LXV Additional City Civil - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:20071 WP No. 11149 of 2026 and Sessions Judge, Bengaluru (hereinafter referred to as ‘Trial Court’ for short) in Original Suit. 3. The plaintiff filed a suit in O.S.No.5956/2021 before the Trial Court seeking relief of eviction. After issuance of suit summons, the respondent-defendant appeared and filed written statement. On the basis of the pleadings of the parties, the Trial Court has framed issues. The parties have adduced evidence and concluded their arguments. However, no order has been passed so far. As the suit is of the year 2021, the present writ petition is filed seeking early disposal of the suit. 4. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that since the suit is of the year 2021, learned counsel seeks for a direction to the Trial Court to dispose of the suit within a fixed time frame. 5. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:20071 WP No. 11149 of 2026 the writ petition with a direction to the Trial Court to dispose of the suit as expeditiously as possible. 6. Accordingly, the following order is passed: ORDER a. The writ petition is disposed of. b. The Trial Court is directed to dispose of the suit in accordance with law and as expeditiously as possible, not later than four months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, provided there is no order of stay of the said proceedings granted by any Court of law. c.
