Affidavit of service, as filed, be kept with the record. 2. The petitioner is aggrieved that his recruitment has not been processed and finalized in view of the pendency of three criminal cases against him. According to the petitioner, the cases against him are politically motivated and he is one amongst the many, against whom such cases have been filed. These cases are pending since 2012. 3. Mr. Pahari, learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner, however, submits that the complainant/s have stated in no uncertain terms that the name of the petitioner had never been taken by the complainant/s. 4. The petitioner is at liberty to take steps seeking discharge from the criminal cases pending against him before the appropriate Court. 5. In the event, the petitioner is discharged from the three cases pending against him, the authorities will consider his case for appointment to the post of constable in the Excise Department, Government of West Bengal. 6.
