Karan Singh Mr. Neel Chakraborty … for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for about 13 months and witness action till date has not been commenced inspite of the charge-sheet having been submitted before the learned jurisdictional court. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail. I have taken into account the quantum of seizure which is 31.225 kg of ganja. Having considered the quantum of seizure, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected. 2 However, the learned trial court is directed to ensure that the seizure list witnesses are examined by 31st December, 2026. The petitioner would renew his prayer for bail after the evidence of the seizure list witnesses is over. Accordingly, CRM (NDPS) 1070 of 2026 is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Memo of evidence submitted be kept with the record.
