THIS PETITION, COMING ON FOR ORDERS, THIS DAY, JUDGMENT WAS MADE THEREIN AS UNDER: CORAM: HON'BLE MRS. JUSTICE ANU SIVARAMAN and HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VENKATESH NAIK T ORAL JUDGMENT (PER: HON'BLE MRS. JUSTICE ANU SIVARAMAN) This Contempt of Court Case is filed alleging non- compliance with the judgment dated 19.01.2024 (Annexure-A) passed by the learned Single Judge. By the said judgment, the writ petition was disposed of directing respondent Nos.2 to 4 to consider the petitioners' representations within an outer limit of eight weeks. It was clarified that the issuance of the said direction shall not be treated as a direction to grant the relief sought in the representations, but only as a direction to consider the same on its own merits within the stipulated time limit. - 4 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010660742024 NC: 2026:KHC:41980-DB CCC No. 1211 of 2024 2. The learned counsel appearing for the accused has filed an affidavit and submits that the representations preferred by the writ petitioners have been considered and that an endorsement at Annexure-R4 was issued on 29.06.2026. 3. It is submitted that, though the learned counsel for the complainants seeks to file an affidavit on the merits of the matter, it is contended that, since an endorsement has been issued, it is now for the complainants to work out their remedies in accordance with law. 4. Having considered the contentions advanced and the specific nature of the directions issued by this Court, we are of the opinion that the direction was specifically to consider the representations. Since the representations have been considered and an endorsement has been issued, the further aspects of the matter cannot be gone into in this Contempt of Court Case. Accordingly, the Contempt of Court Case is closed. However, in case the complainant has any contention on the merits of the matter, it is for the complainant to take up the same in appropriate proceedings. - 5 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010660742024 NC: 2026:KHC:41980-DB CCC No. 1211 of 2024 All pending applications shall stand disposed of.
