This petition is filed seeking following reliefs: a) ISSUE A WRIT OR ORDER in the nature of writ of MANDAMUS directing the Second and Third Respondents to pay the interest on delayed payment of Gratuity amount of Rs.1,38,769/- to the First Petitioner by complying the direction issued by the Fourth Respondent bearing No.LOB- 4/PGA/CR-71/2021-22 dated:30.8.2022 as per Annexure-A and Rs.1,29,991/- to the Second Petitioner by complying the direction issued by the Fifth Respondent, Controlling Authority, bearing No.LOB-3/PGA/CR-47/2021-22 dated 19.7.2022 as per Annexure-B; and b) ISSUE any other appropriate writ, order or direction as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit to grant such further relief, under the facts and circumstances of the case and an order as to costs to meet the ends of justice. - 4 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010027022026 NC: 2026:KHC:42869 WP No. 1262 of 2026 3. Counsel appearing for the petitioners, on instructions, submits that the rate of interest awarded at 10% may be modified to 8%. When queried by the Court, counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have taken a conscious decision in this regard. 4. Taking note of the said submission, the award passed by the Controlling Authority insofar as awarding interest at the rate of 10% is concerned, is modified to the extent that interest shall be payable at the rate of 8%. The Corporation is directed to deposit the amount due within a period of eight weeks from the receipt of a certified copy of this order. 5.
