In short, it is his contention that though the proposal was made before the respondent authorities, the same has not yet been taken to its logical end in light of the provisions of the Maharashtra Private Forest (Acquisition) Act, 1975. He, therefore, submits that a detailed representation was also made by the petitioner(s) before the Collector on 05/02/2026. 3. That being so, and since the call is not taken by the respondent no. 4, we direct the Collector to decide the representation dated 05/02/2026 in accordance with law, after hearing the affected parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of this order. 4. Needless to mention that the decision taken shall be communicated to the petitioner(s) within a period of one week thereafter. 5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. (RAJNISH R.
