The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that appropriate directions be issued to respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 13.04.2015 for grant of quarrying lease in an area measuring 6 acres 10 guntas falling in Sy.No.26 of - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:20278-DB WP No. 11269 of 2026 Chunchanapalya village, Goluru Hobli, Bagepalli Taluk, Chikkaballapura District. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner's application was not considered and in the circumstances, he had filed a writ petition being W.P.No.1540/2016, which was disposed of by an order dated 03.02.2016 directing the respondent-authorities to consider the petitioner's application. The said application was thereafter rejected by an endorsement dated 01.07.2017. 3. The petitioner states that notwithstanding the said rejection a spot inspection was conducted and a technical report was submitted on 21.02.2019, inter alia, stating that there were no technical objections for considering the petitioner's application. Notwithstanding the same, the petitioner's application was not taken up thereafter. This led the petitioner to file a writ petition being W.P.No.52611/2019, challenging the endorsement dated 01.07.2017, whereby his application was rejected. This Court allowed the said writ petition by order dated 02.06.2020 and directed the respondent-authorities to consider the petitioner's - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:20278-DB WP No. 11269 of 2026 application and pass appropriate orders within a period of four months from the said date. 4. The record does not indicate that the petitioner has taken any steps for pursuing his application after 02.06.2020. After a lapse of almost five and a half years, the petitioner made a representation dated 22.01.2026 and in view of non consideration of his application, has filed the present petition. 5. The learned Government Advocate submits that the petitioner's application must have been considered in view of the orders passed by this Court dated 02.06.2020. He states that if the same has not been considered, the same would be considered within a period of four weeks from date. 6. In view of the above, we do not consider it apposite to pass any further orders. 7. In the event the petitioner's application has already been considered, the concerned authorities shall communicate the order to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from date. - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:20278-DB WP No. 11269 of 2026 8.
