JUSTICE SANJEEV KUMAR SHARMA ORDER 07.04.2026 Heard Mr. S. Nawaz, learned counsel for the petitioners. Also heard Mr. R.J. Baruah, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam. This is an application filed under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023, seeking bail on behalf of the petitioners, namely, Jahangir Alom, Abul Hussain, and Saidul Ali Sk @ Saidul Sk, who were arrested on 25.02.2026 in connection with Gossaigaon P.S. Case No. 25/2026, registered under Sections 303(2)/317(2) of the BNS, 2023, read with Section 13(1) of the Assam Cattle Preservation Act, 2021, and Section 11(1)(a)(d)(e)(h) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960. As per the allegations made in the FIR, investigation of the case is complete and charge-sheet has already been submitted. The case has also been committed to the Court of Sessions. The petitioners have been in custody for about 45 days. Having regard to the above facts and circumstances, the prayer for bail is allowed. Accordingly, the petitioners are directed to be released on bail upon furnishing a bail bond of Rs. 50,000/- each with one surety of the like amount, to the satisfaction of the learned Trial Court subject to the condition that they shall cooperate with the trial proceedings and appear before the trial court as and when required.
