IN THE HIGH COURT AT CALCUTTA CONSTITUTIONAL WRIT JURISDICTION APPELLATE SIDE.
WPA 20644 of 2026
Anil Kumar Vs. The Coal India Limited and others. ---------------
Mr. Pramitava Nath. … for the petitioner.
1. The affidavit of service filed today is taken on record.
2. In spite of service none appears on behalf of the respondents.
3. The petitioner is aggrieved that the review preferred by him from the order of the Appellate Authority, sometime in March 2026, has not yet been disposed of.
4. The petitioner’s earlier attempt by approaching this Hon’ble Court to assail the order passed by the Appellate Authority failed before the learned Single Judge as well as in the appeal carried therefrom. The rejection of the appeal has been duly upheld by the Hon’ble Division Bench of this Court.
5. The petitioner’s review, filed before the authority, is pending.
6. Without going into the merits of the case, as the order of the Appellate Authority has already been upheld, I direct the concerned authority to dispose of the review in accordance with law by October 10, 2026.
7. With the afore-stated direction, the writ petition is
2
disposed of.
8. There shall, however, be no order as to costs.
9. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on priority basis.
