Petitioner is serving as ‘Ski Lift Driver’ on contract in Nagar Palika Parishad, Kichha, District Udham Singh Nagar, allegedly since March, 2013. Since he was not being paid salary at par with regular employees, therefore he made a representation claiming pay parity with regular employees. His representation has been rejected by Executive Officer of the concerned Nagar Palika Parishad. Thus feeling aggrieved, petitioner has approached this Court challenging the rejection order. He has also sought a mandamus to pay minimum of pay scale to the petitioner on the principle of ‘equal pay for equal work’. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that identical issue was decided by this Court in Writ Petition No. 1399 of 2022 (SS) and other connected petitions. He submits that this writ petition also deserves to be decided in terms of 2026:UHC:2704 the said judgment. 4. Ms. Sakshi Fartiyal, Advocate holding brief of Mr. S.S. Chauhan, Advocate appearing for Nagar Palika Parishad, Kichha, District Udham Singh Nagar concedes that the issue involved in this writ petition is identical to the one decided in Writ Petition No. 1399 of 2022 (SS). She thus submits that the writ petition can be decided in terms of that judgment. 5. In view of the consensus between the parties, the writ petition is decided in terms of the judgment dated 23.03.2026, passed in WPSS No. 1399 of 2022. Petitioner shall be at liberty to make fresh representation for claiming minimum pay scale. If he makes such representation within two weeks from today, the Executive Officer of concerned Nagar Palika Parishad shall revisit the issue and pass necessary order as per law, on the representation within eight weeks thereafter.
