The petitioners are seeking a direction upon the respondents to release in their favour the unpaid wages for the period 2015 to 2022. 2. It is case of the petitioners that they are working as daily wagers/need based workers with the PW(R&B) Department, Division Doda and that they have been continuously performing their assigned duties to the satisfaction of the employer. It has been submitted that despite availability of the record pertaining to the attendance of the petitioners including the muster rolls, the respondents have not released the wages of the petitioners for the period w.e.f. the year 2015 to the year 2022 without any lawful justification. According to the petitioners, they had submitted a representation dated 03.10.2025 before the concerned authorities but without any success. Hence the present petition. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners would feel satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to Serial No. 127 2 WP(C) No. 3043/2026 consider their claim for release of their legitimately earned wages within a specified period of time. 4. In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioners with regard to release of their un-paid outstanding wages within a period of eight weeks from the date a copy of this order is made available to the respondents. While considering the claim of the petitioners, the respondents shall pass a speaking order. 5. The petition is disposed of.
