1. Present petition has been filed under Section 483 of BNSS seeking regular bail in case FIR no. 61 dated 05.09.2025, under Section 109 BNS and Section 25 of Arms Act, 1959, registered at Police Station Fattu Dhinga, District Kapurthala. 2. Incident in the present case occurred on 05.09.2025, and FIR was registered on the basis of a statement made by the complainant, Natha Singh,
“I and my son Jagjit Singh went to fill soil in different trolleys from Kalna near the panchayat land for the service of Dhussi Bun along with our Sarpanch Lakhbir Singh and neighbor Harwinder Singh son of Jaswant Singh and other villagers. When we filled the trolley with soil and started to move the trolley on the concrete road, my son Jagjit Singh and I were standing on one side of the road, then a white car came from the village Fatudhiga side, RASHMI 2026.07.23 10:14 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CRM-M-8884-2026(O&M) 2 which stopped after moving the trolley on the road, then the driver of the car started abusing my son Jagjit Singh without any reason, then my son Jagjit Singh told the car driver to stop for a while, so that we can move the trolley filled with soil on the road and let him pass. So after hearing this, the car driver became more angry and he stopped his vehicle and came out, as soon as he came out, the driver of the car fired directly at my son Jagjit Singh with his revolver in his hand with the intention of killing him. When my son Jagjit Singh defended himself by taking the help of a trolley, the driver of the car fired another shot at my son Jagjit Singh with the intention of killing him, which hit my son Jagjit Singh's right ankle. My son fell to the ground due to the bullet and I shouted "Marta Marta".
Seeing all the trolley drivers gathering, the driver of the car got into the car and started running towards Shahdola. At that time, I read the number of his car PB09-AQ-1113 and the brand Tata Punch. The driver of the car drove away from the spot and took his car. With the help of my village residents, I arranged a ride for my son Jagjit Singh and took him to the Civil Hospital Fatudiga for treatment, where the doctor gave him first aid and referred him to the Civil Hospital Kapurthala, who is now undergoing treatment at the Civil Hospital Kapurthala. I have so far inquired about the owner of the said vehicle with my village residents and I came to know that the name of the driver who shot my son is Jaspal Singh, son of Mukhtar Singh, resident of Thatha New Police Station, Talwandi Chaudhary, District Kapurthala. Please take strict legal action against Jaspal Singh, son of Mukhtar Singh, resident of Thatha New Police Station, Talwandi Chaudhary, District Kapurthala, who shot my son Jagjit Singh with the intention of killing him and give me justice. I am getting my statement recorded in the presence of my friend Harwinder Singh, son of Jaswant Singh, resident of Fattudhinga.”
