Ms. Tanima Nandy ….for the petitioner Ms. Suchitra Sinha Chatterjee Ms. Sumita Sarkar ……for the State respondents 1) Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record. 2) Learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that though criminal prosecution has been initiated by registering FIR being Jagatballavpur Police Station Case No. 322 of 2025 dated 24th September, 2025 but subsequent steps have not been taken by the investigating agency prompting the petitioner to approach this Court with the present writ petition seeking direction upon the concerned police authorities. 3) Ms. Sinha Chatterjee, learned advocate representing the State respondents has filed a communication dated 30th July, 2026 of Officer-in- Charge, Jagatballavpur Police Station and same is 2 taken on record. Copy of said communication is made over to learned advocate representing the petitioner. 4) It is disclosed in communication dated 30th July, 2026 that in Jagatballavpur Police Station Case No. 322 of 2025 dated 24th September, 2025 on completing investigation charge-sheet being Jagatballavpur Police Station C.S. No. 71/26 dated 27th March, 2026 was filed before jurisdictional Magistrate. 5) In view of filing of charge-sheet before jurisdictional Magistrate, no further order need be passed on this writ petition and same stands disposed of. 6) However, this order shall not preclude the petitioner to approach jurisdictional Magistrate, if so advised. 7) Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
