Saha … for the Petitioner(s) Dr. Pradip Kumar Banerjee Mr. Prantik Sarkar … for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for one year seven months and, there is alleged recovery of 32.425 kg of ganja. There was earlier direction passed by this court which has not been complied with. Reference has been made by the petitioner in respect of the order dated 11.02.2026 passed in CRM (NDPS) 230 of 2026. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail. In view of the quantum of seizure which is of commercial quantity and the fact that there was a direction passed earlier in CRM (NDPS) 230 of 2026 as also the 2 factum that there are no change of circumstance since the last order was passed, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected. Accordingly, CRM (NDPS) 1590 of 2026 is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Memo of evidence submitted be kept with the record. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta.
