In light of the judgment and order passed in W.P.A. 6533 of 2025 (Sudip Sarkar –vs- State of West Bengal & Ors) with W.P.A. 29160 of 2025 (Mahesh Toshniwal –vs- State of West Bengal & Ors) with W.P.A. 29162 of 2025 (Kartick Chandra Saha –vs- State of West Bengal & Ors), the State respondents have taken a policy decision by way of a Gazetted Notification dated 17.07.2026. 3. By the said notification, the state has amended West Bengal Targeted Public Distribution System (maintenance and Control) order, 2024 by omitting Sub-Clause (v) of Clause 11 thereof. 2 4. It is further stated that the said amendment shall be deemed to have come into effect and shall apply mutatis mutandis to all existing forms, checklists and other ancillary documents issued under the said order. 5. Learned Advocate General submits that in view of such Gazetted Notification dated 17.07.2026 henceforth all vacancy Notifications for grant of an FPS Dealership licence shall be invited strictly in terms of the Gazetted Notification dated 17.07.2026. 6. In view of the above, the writ petition stands disposed of. All issues raised herein are left open to be agitated in accordance with law in future proceedings if any required. 7.
