ORAL ORDER
After addressing the arguments for some time,
learned counsel for the petitioner has filed a memo, which reads as under:
“MEMO FILED BY PETITIONER The petitioner most humbly submit as follows:
1. That the petitioner submits that the trial court in CC No. 53498/2022 had convicted the petitioner and sentenced to pay a fine amount of Rs. 6,42,400/-

(Rupees Six Lakh Forty Two Thousand Four Hundred Only) vide judgment dated 14.03.2025. The appellate court in Crl Appeal No. 25156/2025 had confirmed the said sentence passed by the trial court.
2. The petitioner till date has already deposited 50% of the fine amount equating to Rs. 3,21,200/- (Rupees Three Lakh Twenty One Thousand Two Hundred Only) before the trial court.
3. In light of the above the petitioner craves leave of this Hon'ble Court for granting a period of 3 months for depositing the balance fine amount. The petitioner submits and undertakes to deposit the balance fine amount of Rs. 3,21,200/- (Rupees Three Lakh Twenty One Thousand Two Hundred Only) in three equated monthly instalments of Rs. 1,07,067/- as below: a) A sum of Rs. 1,07,067/- on or before
07.05.2026. b) A sum of Rs. 1,07,067/- on or before
07.06.2026. c) A sum of Rs. 1,07,067/- on or before
07.07.2026. WHEREFORE, the petitioner respectfully prays that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to dispose the above petition in terms of the above memo, in the interest of justice and equity.”

Learned counsel for the respondent has endorsed no objection on the said memo.
3. Placing the memo on record, the petition stands
disposed of.
4. It is made clear that, if the compensation amount as agreed in the memo is not paid, the petitioner shall undergo imprisonment as ordered by learned Trial Magistrate confirmed by the First Appellate Court.
5. Amount in deposit is ordered to be withdrawn by the complainant under due identification.
