1. The petitioner has filed this petition with the following reliefs:-
“ 10.1 The Hon'ble Court may call for records from the respondents. 10.2 The Hon'ble Court may issue an appropriate writ or direction on the Respondent Authorities to pay the compensation to Petitioner with interest from the date of acquisition. 10.3. The Hon'ble Court in the alternative, direct the Respondent No.3 to decide the Representation dated 12.03.2026 of the Petitioner within a time bound manner. 10.4 The Hon'ble Court may further direct Respondent No.3 that mandatory opportunity of personal hearing to the Petitioner be granted before passing the final compliance order in
3 strict adherence to the principles of natural justice..”

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is seeking compensation in respect of 174 square metres of land situated at Village Nagpura Tehsil and District Durg, which was acquired in the year 2023 for the Thelkadih–Durg Road Improvement and Reconstruction Project of the Public Works Department. Despite the petitioner’s representation dated 12.03.2026 submitted before the Collector/Respondent No. 3, the compensation payable in respect of the acquired land has not yet been paid.
Learned counsel for the petitioner therefore, submits that the petitioner is confining his prayer to a limited relief that the concerned authority may kindly be directed to consider and decide the petitioner’s pending representation dated 12.03.2026 in accordance with law and pass an appropriate order for payment of compensation in respect of the land acquired from the petitioner. 3. Learned State counsel does not oppose the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner and submits that the pending representation may be considered and decided by the competent authority in accordance with law. 4. Having considered the submissions made by learned counsel for the parties and in view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner, the concerned authority is directed to consider and decide the petitioner’s representation dated 12.03.2026 in
4 accordance with law by passing an appropriate order within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the claim of the petitioner and the concerned authority shall consider the representation independently, strictly in accordance with law. 5. With the aforesaid observations and directions this writ petition stands disposed of. SD/-
