Learned counsel for the petitioner and respondent have filed a joint memo dated 17.08.2026, which reads as under:
JOINT MEMO
"The petitioner and respondent have jointly prays this Hon'ble Court as follows:
1. The petitioner and respondent be to submit that the petitioner have challenged the conviction of judgment passed by XX Addl. Chief Metropolitan Magistrate at Bengaluru in C.C.No.17449/2020 dated 02.12.2023 and also confirmed the conviction Crl.Appeal.No.80/2024

HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010195672026 NC: 2026:KHC:43849 CRL.RP No. 453 of 2026 passed by the learned LXVI Addl.City Civil & Sessions Judge at Bengaluru city (CCH-67) dated 20.12.2026 for the offence punishable under Section 138 of N.I. Act and
directed the petitioner to pay a sum of Rs.1,55,000/- in default to pay fine amount to respondent the petitioner shall undergo an imprisonment of three months. 2. The petitioner and respondent submit that while in the pending of the above said petition due to mediation by the friends of both petitioner and respondent both have agreed to settle the dispute for the amount of Rs.1,25,000/-. The petitioner agreed to pay the above said amount to the respondent on today an amount of Rs.49,000/- by way of cash and remaining balance amount of Rs.76,000/- which was deposited before the Hon'ble Trial Court same is permitted the respondent to withdraw. 3. The petitioner and respondent further submit the petitioner has paid full and final settlement to the respondent. For that, the respondent has agreed and respondent has no objection to allow this revision petition and to set aside the conviction against the petitioner. 4. Both the parties have agreed the above said terms and conditions without any coercion or threat. Both parties have hereby agreed that the amount deposited by the court to be released in favour of the petitioner, for that the respondent have no objection. Wherefore, both the petitioner and respondent prays that this Hon'ble Court pleased to allow the joint memo and

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate at Bengaluru in C.C.No.17449/2020 dated 02.12.2023 and in appeal order dated 20.02.2026 in Crl.Appeal No.80/2024 passed by the learned LXVI Addl. City Civil & Sessions Judge at Bengaluru City (CCH-67) in the interest of justice and equity."
2. In view of the joint memo, the dispute has been settled for an amount of Rs.1,25,000/- payable within a period of three months. The petitioner agreed to pay the above said amount of Rs.49,000/- by way of cash and remaining balance amount of Rs.76,000/- is deposited before the trial Court and the respondent acknowledges the same. 3. In view of the settlement arrived between the parties, criminal revision petition is disposed of. Consequently, the earlier judgment of conviction passed by the XX Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Bengaluru in C.C.No. 17449/2020 dated 02.12.2023, has been set aside.
The subsequent judgment in Crl.A.No.80/2024, dated 20.02.2026, by the LXVI Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge, Bengaluru
