The instant contempt petition arises out of an order/judgment passed by the learned writ Court on 18.04.2025 in WP(C) No. 826/2025, by virtue of which the writ petition preferred by the petitioner was disposed of at the very threshold by directing respondent No. 2 to consider the application of the petitioner dated 05.10.2023, within a period of two months from the date of passing of the said order, provided the petitioner was eligible under rules. 02. Since the aforesaid order was not complied with, the instant contempt petition has been preferred by the petitioner, in which notice was issued on 01.08.2025. 03. The respondents have filed various statement of facts, yet the order/judgment, as per the learned counsel for the petitioner has not been complied with. 04. Today, when the instant contempt petition was taken up, Mr. Mohsin Qadri, learned Senior Additional Advocate General appearing on behalf of the respondents assureds the Court that the judgment, which is the subject matter of the instant contempt petition, shall be complied with in its letter and spirit and accordingly, he seeks two weeks further time to do the needful. 05. Thus, in the light of the assurance extended by learned Senior Additional Advocate General, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep this contempt petition alive and accordingly, the same is disposed of by directing the respondents to comply with the order/judgment passed by the learned writ Court, within a period of two weeks from today, by passing a detailed consideration order, strictly in tune with the order/judgment under implementation. 06. Needless to say, that in case the order/judgment passed by the learned writ Court is not complied with, within the time hereby granted, the petitioner shall be at liberty to seek revival of the contempt petition and in that eventuality, the Court will be constrained to initiate coercive measures against the respondents. 07. The proceedings in the instant contempt petition are accordingly closed. Rule, if any, shall stand discharged.
