Petitioner was an employee of Oriental Insurance Company Limited and he retired from the post of Deputy Manager on 30.09.2014. At the time of retirement, he was posted at Saharanpur, which is within the administrative control of Regional Manager, sitting at Dehradun. 3. According to the petitioner, certain monetary benefits, including benefit of increment, leave encashment, city compensation allowance, travelling allowance and medical claim have not been released so far. 4. Mr. I.P. Kohli, learned counsel appearing for Insurance Company, however, submits that petitioner is not entitled to any monetary dues on account of medical allowance; he is not entitled for any travelling allowance, as he was transferred within the same zone. He, however, submits that as per his instructions, a sum of Rs. 36075/- is payable to the petitioner towards gratuity. He submits that if petitioner makes 2026:UHC:2766 representation, highlighting his grievance, the same shall be dealt with by the competent authority, as per law. 5. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make representation to the competent authority. If he makes representation within two weeks from today, decision thereupon shall be taken by the competent authority as per law, within eight weeks thereafter. 6. It shall be open to the petitioner to stake claim for interest on delayed payment of retiral/terminal dues.
