15.01.2026 IN THE HIGH COURT AT CALCUTTA Item No.9 CIRCUIT BENCH AT JALPAIGURI Ct.No.3 CRIMINAL REVISIONAL JURISDICTION dc. C.R.R. 520 of 2025 with CRAN 1 of 2025 In the matter of : Sri Ayush Agarwal … Petitioner. Mr. Sandip Mandal, Mr. Amit Saha, Ms. Poonam Kaur … For the Petitioner. Mr. Nilay Chakraborty, APP, Mr. Biswarup Roy … For the State. Mr. Nabankur Paul, Ms. Sutapa Sen Paul, Mr. Nikhil Mohpal, Mr. Ankur Agarwal, Mr. Bodhisatya Ghosh … For the Opposite Party No.2. Learned advocates appearing for the petitioner and the opposite party no.2 are present. Pursuant to change of circumstances both the parties have taken out a joint compromise application. Learned advocates appearing for the petitioner and the de facto complainant/opposite party no.2 on the earlier occasion submitted before this Court that they have amicably settled their dispute. Consequently a report was called for in connection with Bhaktinagar P.S. Case No. 415 of 2025 dated 09.05.2025. State has submitted a report before this Court which includes a communication made by the de facto complainant/opposite party no.2 which reflects that an amicable settlement has been entered by and between the parties. 2 I have taken into account the nature of the accusations made by the de facto complainant/opposite party no.2 and the purpose for which the investigation was progressing. Having regard to the changed circumstances and the stand taken by each of the parties, I am of the view that further continuation of the proceedings is unwarranted in the facts and circumstances of the present case. Accordingly, all further proceedings arising out of Bhaktinagar P.S. Case No. 415 of 2025 dated 09.05.2025 are hereby quashed. Consequently the revisional application being CRR 520 of 2025 along with CRAN 1 of 2025 is allowed. Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record. All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
