1. The prayer in the present petition under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is for setting aside order dated 25.03.2026 (Annexure P-13) passed by the learned Appellate Authority under the East Punjab Urban Rent Restriction Act, 1949, whereby the application filed by the petitioner under Order 1 Rule 10 CPC for impleadment in the appeal was dismissed, and further for setting aside order dated 25.03.2026 (Annexure P- 14) passed by the same Appellate Authority, whereby the application filed under Order 22 Rule 5 CPC has also met the same fate.
2. During the course of preliminary hearing, it transpires that both the impugned orders are interlocutory orders and were passed in a pending appeal, being RA-41-2023, which has since been disposed of on 25.03.2026.
3. In view of the above, the present petition has been rendered infructuous, as the interlocutory orders stand merged into the final order.
4. In the light of the above, the present petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous, reserving liberty to the petitioner to assail HARISH KUMAR 2026.07.23 13:50 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this
order/judgment
CR-5412-2026 (2) the effect of the impugned orders on the final decision, if any and take all the pleas, as raised in the present petition, while challenging the final order dated 25.03.2026, passed in the aforesaid rent appeal.
