No.3 to 5 : Mr. Arvind Shrivastava, Senior Advocate Mr. Indrajeet Singh Thakur, Advocate For Resp. No.6 & 7 : None appears. S.B.: Hon'ble Shri Parth Prateem Sahu, Judge Order on Board 14/08/2026 1. This contempt petition is filed alleging willful disobedience of the order on the part of respondents in not complying with the directives issued by the High Court vide order dated 09.03.2020 passed in WPC No.873 of 2020 (Pooran Lal & Ors. Vs. State of Chhattisgarh and Ors.). 2. This contempt petition is filed alleging that the authority has called for original map for initiating proceeding of demarcation, but till filing of this contempt petition, demarcation could not be done for want of map. 3. During course of argument, learned counsel for the petitioners fairly submits that after filing of this contempt petition, demarcation was conducted and report was submitted and thereafter Nayab Tahsildar vide order dated 21.06.2021 has closed the proceeding of demarcation observing that compliance of High Court’s order dated 09.03.2020 has been done. He contended that demarcation report and proceeding 4 / 4 recorded by Nayab Tahsildar on 21.06.2021 was put to challenge by the petitioners in WPC No.3361 of 2021 which was disposed of with direction to the Collector to get the land subject matter of petition to be demarcated under his supervision. Application has been filed. However, steps on the part of Collector are yet to be taken. 4. In the aforementioned facts of case when the demarcation has been done by the Revenue Authority pursuant to order subject matter of contempt i.e. order dated 09.03.2020 and aggrieved with which petitioners have already approached this Court by way of filing fresh writ petition bearing WPC No.3361 of 2021, which was disposed of on 08.05.2026 directing the Collector to get the land of the petitioners demarcated under his supervision, I do not find any good ground to continue any further in this contempt petition. 5. Accordingly, contempt proceeding initiated against respondents is dropped. Notice issued to respondents stands discharged. 6. Contempt Petition is closed. Sd/Sd Sd/- (Parth Prateem Sahu) Judge Praveen
