1. The instant petition has been filed under Section 438 of Cr.P.C. (482 of the BNSS, 2023) for grant of anticipatory bail to the pe- titioner in case FIR No.68 dated 09.04.2026 under Sections 15 and 29 of the NDPS Act, 1985 registered at Police Station Samana (Sadar Samana) District Patiala.

This Court, vide order dated 22.05.2026, had directed the petitioner to appear before the SHO/Investigating Officer and join investigation and in the event of their arrest, they were ordered to be released on interim bail to the satisfaction of the SHO/Investigating Officer, subject to the conditions envisaged under Section 482(2) of the BNSS (erstwhile Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.).

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in compliance of the order dated 22.05.2026 passed by the Court, the POONAM 2026.07.22 11:17 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

4. Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Bakkar Singh states that the petitioner has joined the investigation and is not required for custodial interrogation. Status report by way of an affidavit of Mr. Fateh Singh Brar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division Samana, District Patiala, has been filed by learned State counsel, which is taken on record.
5. In view of the statement made by learned State counsel, the petition is allowed and the interim order dated 22.05.2026 is made ab- solute. The petitioner shall continue to join investigation, as and when called by the Investigating Officer and shall also abide by the condi- tions as provided under Section 482(2) of the BNSS.
