Betamcherla Mandal. along with lands of 28 other villagers, from the list of prohibited properties under Section 22-A(1)(c) of the Registration Act.

ORDER:
Non implementation of the proceedings of the District Collector-2nd respondent dated 01.04.2024 for deletion of the subject lands including the petitioner’s land admeasuring Ac.5.51 cents in Sy.No.577 of Gutupalli Village, Betamcherla Mandal, Nandyal District, is the grievance of the petitioner.
2. Heard Sri G.Sekhar Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Shaik Khaja Basha, learned Standing Counsel for Waqf Board for the respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioner while reiterating the contents of the affidavit contented that the 2nd respondent-District Collector, Nandyal, on 01.04.2024 issued proceedings recommending for deletion of the subject property from the list of prohibitory properties under Section 22A(1)(C) of Registration Act, 1908, to redress the grievance of the public and take disciplinary action against the Inspector Auditor, Waqfs, for not verifying the records and causing significant loss to the land owners. He further submitted that despite the said proceedings, the respondents are not implementing the same, as such, prayed to pass appropriate orders.
4. On the other hand, learned Standing Counsel for Waqf-3rd respondent contended that in similar circumstances, when other parties
filed writ petition with regard to the very same proceedings of the 2nd respondent vide W.P.No.12274 of 2026, this Court, directed the respondents to pass appropriate orders on the recommendations made by the District Collector concerned fixing six weeks time, accordingly, prayed to pass similar orders in this writ petition.
5. Learned Standing Counsel further brought to the notice of this Court that Board is likely to conduct a meeting on 23.06.2026 wherein the subject issue would also be placed before the Board for taking proper decision on the Collector's proceedings dated 01.04.2024.
6. In reply, learned counsel for the petitioner prayed to record the said submissions and dispose of the writ petition.
7. Taking their submissions into consideration, at the request of both the learned counsels, instead of keeping the writ petition pending, this Court is inclined to dispose of the writ petition by passing the following
order:
“The 3rd respondent is directed to place the proceedings of the 2nd respondent-District Collector vide Rc.B1/203/2024 dated 01.04.2024 on 23.06.2024 and the respondents concerned shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.”
8. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no
order as to costs.
As a sequel, miscellaneous applications, pending if any, shall stand closed. _____________________________
