D/L23 04.08.2026 Bpg. C.R.M. (M) 1392 of 2026 In Re: An application for bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 corresponding to Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 filed in connection with Bauria Police Station Case No.102 of 2023 dated 17.06.2023 under Sections 489A/489B/489C/489D/120B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 ; Sk. Arif @ Arif Mohammad Versus The State of West Bengal Mr. Sagnik Roy Choudhury Mr. Trijit Mitra. …for the petitioner. Mr. Kallol Mondal, Ld.P.P Mr. Suman Chakraborty. …for the State. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner prays for bail as the petitioner is in custody for more than 3 years. Only two witnesses have been examined till date. Records reflect that prosecution has relied upon 14 witnesses in order to prove its case. The prosecution case is based on 600 pieces of FICNs. Having considered the volume of fake currency notes recovered in the present case, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, CRM(M)1392 of 2026 is dismissed. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. 2 Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
