By virtue of the present petition under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS), the petitioners seek quashing of FIR No.601/2024 dated 14.10.2024 registered at PS.: Khyala, Delhi under Sections 110/126(2)/115(2)/351(2)/3(5)/324(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (BNS) and all proceedings emanating therefrom, in view of the oral settlement between the petitioners and the respondent no.2. 2. Issue notice. Learned APP for the State accepts notice and submits that he has no objection to the quashing of the aforesaid FIR No.601/2024 dated 14.10.2024. 3. Respondent no.2, present in Court, also accepts notice and states that he has no objection to the quashing of the aforesaid FIR No.601/2024 dated 14.10.2024. In fact, the present petition is also accompanied by an affidavit on behalf of the respondent no.2 to the aforesaid effect. 4. Further, the petitioners and the respondent no.2, present in Court, as This is a digitally signed order. In view of the fact that the dispute has been amicably settled between the petitioners and the respondent no.2 as also since they are friends and reside in the same locality, following the law laid down by the Hon’ble Supreme Court in Jitendra Raghuvanshi & Ors. vs. Babita Raguvanshi & Anr. (2013) 4 SCC 58, Gian Singh vs. State of Punjab & Anr. (2012) 10 SCC 303 and Narinder Singh & Ors. vs. State of Punjab & Anr. (2014) 6 SCC 466, this Court is of the opinion that continuation of the aforesaid FIR No.601/2024 dated 14.10.2024 will be an exercise in futility. 6. Accordingly, the present petition is allowed and FIR No.601/2024 dated 14.10.2024 registered at PS.: Khyala, Delhi under Sections 110/126(2)/115(2)/351(2)/3(5)/324(4) of the BNS and all other proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. 7. Accordingly, the petition alongwith pending application is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. 8. At this stage, as a benevolent gesture the present petitioners undertake to supply a complete length of cloths for curtains for all the doors and windows at PS.: Khyala on or before the first week of April 2026. 9.
