13.08.2026 Serial no. 542 [G.S.D] CRM (A) 1722 of 2026 In re : An Application under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023/under Section 438 of the Cr.P.C. in connection with Deganga PS Case No. 303 of 2022 dated 04.05.2022 u/s 498A/406/304B/302/34 of the IPC [SC case no. 205 of 2023]. -And- In the matter of : Arjina Bibi @ Arzina Bibi … Petitioner(s) Mr. Moyukh Mukherjee Mr. Partha Chakraborty Mr. Muhmmad Obaid … for the petitioner(s) Ms. Priti Kr Bagchi … for the State-respondent(s) The petitioner is the mother-in-law of the deceased. The records of the case reflect that the petitioner [mother-in-law] has been declared as ‘Proclaimed Offender’. In view of the aforesaid, the present Anticipatory Bail application is not maintainable. However, if the petitioner within a fortnight from date appears before the learned jurisdictional court and prays for regular bail, the learned jurisdictional court would consider such prayer taking into account the locus of the other accused persons. Accordingly, CRM (A) 1722 of 2026 is dismissed. 2 Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
