The present contempt petition has been filed alleging non- compliance of the order dated 12.09.2024 passed by this Court in WPC No. 4570 of 2024. It is submitted that, in the said writ JYOTI SHARMA Digitally signed by JYOTI SHARMA Date: 2026.08.06 10:53:02 +0530 2 / 3 petition, learned counsel appearing for respondent Nos. 4 and 5 had made a statement before this Court that notice had been issued to respondent No. 6 and that the proceedings would be concluded expeditiously in accordance with law. 2. The grievance of the petitioner is that, despite the aforesaid undertaking, respondent Nos. 4 and 5 failed to take appropriate steps for concluding the proceedings, thereby committing willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court. 3. Pursuant to the directions issued by this Court, an additional affidavit has been filed on behalf of the respondents. In paragraph 14 thereof, it has been specifically stated as under: "14. That, the Municipal Corporation, Bhilai, vide letter dated 30.07.2026, again requested the Senior Superintendent of Police, District Durg, to provide sufficient police force for the proposed demolition of the remaining illegal structure on 04.08.2026. A copy of the letter dated 30.07.2026 is filed herewith as Annexure R-1/12." 4. Having considered the additional affidavit filed by the respondents and the material placed on record, this Court is of the opinion that the directions contained in the order dated 12.09.2024, as well as the undertaking recorded therein, stand substantially complied with. Consequently, no case of willful or deliberate disobedience of the order of this Court is made out. 3 / 3 5.
