(Oral) 1 Present contempt petition has been filed under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, for alleging non-compliance of the order dated 19.11.2025 (Annexure P-1) passed by this Court in CWP-23037-2018. 2. Learned State counsel has appeared on behalf of the respondents and handed over a copy of order dated 15.07.2026 passed by the Hon’ble Division Bench of this Court in LPA No.980 of 2026 and also LPA No.1097 of 2026, which is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions. A copy thereof has been handed over to the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner in Court today. 3. Learned State counsel while referring to the aforesaid order dated 15.07.2026, submits that against the order dated 19.11.2025 (Annexure P-1) passed by the Writ Court, regarding which the present contempt petition ANKIT 2026.07.22 12:12 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court, Chandigarh COCP-2924-2026 (O&M) -2- has been filed, the said order has been challenged by the State of Punjab by filing an intra-court appeal i.e. LPA No.1097 of 2026 along with LPA No.980 of 2026 and on 15.07.2026, the order dated 19.11.2025 (Annexure P-1) passed by the learned Single Judge has been set aside and the matter has been remanded back to the learned Single Judge for afresh adjudication. He further submits that since the order regarding which the present contempt petition has been filed has already been set aside by the Hon’ble Division Bench, nothing survives in the present petition. 4. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has not disputed the aforesaid stand taken by the learned State counsel. 5. Keeping in view the above, nothing survives in the present contempt petition and the same is disposed of accordingly. 6. All the pending application(s), if any, shall also stand closed.
