1. The affidavit of service filed today is taken on record.
2. The petitioner is aggrieved that the pension and death gratuity of his deceased grandmother has not been paid by the authorities.
3. The respondent no. 2 has kept the prayer of the petitioner on hold as there are certain discrepancies, which can be clarified by deposit of further documents. These documents as sought for by the respondent no. 2 have been indicated to the respondent no. 4 by the letter of December 20, 2023.
4. The petitioner was directed by the respondent no. 4 to file all requisites as entailed in the afore-stated letter of December 20, 2023. However, such documents have not been submitted.
5. The petitioner is directed to submit the documents as sought for in the afore-stated letter as well as the

Succession Certificate from a duly authorized person (concerned District Delegate) by August 30, 2026. The respondent no. 4 upon receipt of such documents will forward the same to the respondent no. 2 within a week from receipt thereof. The respondent no. 2 will consider the documents and if found eligible and otherwise entitled in law will direct disbursal of the death gratuity in favour of the petitioner.
6. The respondent nos. 3 and 4 will also consider the entitlement and eligibility of the petitioner to receive family pension on account of the deceased employee, his grandmother. If found eligible, the family pension will be disbursed in favour of the petitioner by November 15, 2026.
7. The issue of eligibility and entitlement will be decided by way of a reasoned and speaking order by the respondent no. 4.
8. With the afore-stated directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
9. There shall, however, be no order as to costs.
10. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on priority basis.
