Sandhawalia , Chief Justice (Oral) Challenge is to the award letter dated 05.07.2025 (Annexure P-1), whereby the work of construction of 19 meters long span RCC T Beam Bridge over Ghudwin Khad at KM 4/785 on Hamirpur Bhoranj Jahu Road T04 from km 0/00 to km 14/00 had been 1 Whether the reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 awarded to respondent No. 4. Prayer has been made not to dismantle/demolish the existing bridge until a new/alternative bridge is fully constructed, made operational and open to public use. 2. The petition had been filed on 03.12.2025 and notice had been issued to the respondents only on the ground that due to dismantling, there would be no access. 3. On 17.12.2025, it had been noticed that the work had been awarded, the date of completion is 19.07.2026 and there was a diversion of 150m in length, whereby the traffic was plying and the road was to be widened from existing 5/7m to 7/10m to cater to the increased traffic demand and the cost of the bridge is Rs.375.6 lacs of single span of 19m with deck of double lane (7.5 width) standard. 4. The State has also placed on record photographs showing that the bridge had already been dismantled apart from the diversion as such. 3 5. Keeping in view the above, we are of the considered opinion that no further reason is made out to keep the petition pending as the same has been rendered infructuous, and secondly, the State is only increasing the infrastructure capacity as such, as has been mentioned in the affidavit filed by the State way back on 25.01.2026, indicating that 75% of the work had been completed at that point of time. 6.
