Petitioner versus 1 - State of Chhattisgarh Through The Secretary, Urban Administration and Development, Department, Mahanadi Bhawan, Atal Nagar, New Raipur (C.G.) 2 - The Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Jagdalpur, District- Bastar, (C.G.) ... Respondents For Petitioner : Mr. Somkant Verma. Advocate For State/Respondent No.1 : Mr. Suyashdhar Badgaiya, GA For Respondent No.2 : Ms. Shruti Pramar, Advocate (Hon’ble Shri Justice Bibhu Datta Guru) Order on Board 05/08/2026 1. By way of the instant petition, the petitioner has called in question the order dated 11.07.2026 whereby he was transferred from Municipal Corporation, Jagdalpur to Municipal Corporation, Dhamtari. 2. At the very outset, learned State counsel has placed on record the subsequent order dated 04.08.2026, which demonstrates that the earlier ASHUTOSH MISHRA Digitally signed by ASHUTOSH MISHRA Date: 2026.08.06 10:39:45 +0530 2 / 2 order dated 11.07.2026 has been modified. By the said modification order, the petitioner has now been sent on deputation from Municipal Corporation, Jagdalpur to Municipal Corporation, Bilaspur, therefore, the instant writ petition has now become infructuous. The copy of the order dated 04.08.2026 is taken on record. 3. At this juncture, learned counsel for the petitioner would also submit that nothing survives in this petition for adjudication as the same having become infructuous, however, he prays for grant of liberty in favour of the petitioner to challenge the subsequent/modified order dated 04.08.2026. 4. In view of the above, the writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous with the aforesaid liberty. SD/- SD/- (Bibhu Datta Guru) JUDGE ashu
