Ghosh ……for the State respondents 1) Mr. Nag, learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that prayer for interim protection not to take coercive steps in connection with criminal prosecutions pending against the petitioner becomes infructuous since petitioner is taken into custody. However, prayer is made for intimating how many criminal prosecutions are pending against the petitioner as on date and in which criminal prosecutions petitioner is arrested. 2) Mr. Mazumder, learned Additional Advocate General representing the State respondents submits that petitioner by this time should have been aware of 2 those criminal prosecutions in connection with which petitioner is taken into custody. 3) Be that as it may, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Legal), West Bengal, is directed to inform the petitioner by forwarding a communication number of criminal prosecutions which are pending against the petitioner as on date and in which criminal prosecutions petitioner was taken into custody. Such intimation shall be made to the petitioner by seven days from date. 4) Writ petition stands disposed of. 5) Parties to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
