1. By the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent authorities to consider and decide his pending representation dated 25.07.2026 (Annexure P/4) and to permit him to participate in the interview for the post of Assistant Professor.
2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to the advertisement (Annexure P/1) issued for contractual appointment to the post of Assistant Professor in New Physiotherapy Colleges, the petitioner submitted his application and, upon scrutiny, his name was included in the list of eligible candidates (Annexure P/3). He submits that although the petitioner appeared before the competent authority for document verification and the same has been done accordingly, he was not permitted to participate in the interview on the oral ground that he did not fulfill the age criteria, despite no such disqualification being prescribed in the advertisement or communicated by any written order. He further submits that the petitioner thereafter submitted a representation dated 25.07.2026 (Annexure P/4), however, the same is still pending consideration. It is, therefore, prayed that the respondent authorities be directed to consider and decide the petitioner's representation expeditiously, in accordance with law.
3. Learned State counsel, on instructions, submits that if the representation submitted by the petitioner is still pending
consideration, the same shall be considered and decided in accordance with law within the stipulated period.
