D/L81 21.08.2026 Bpg. C.R.M. (A) 2696 of 2026 In Re: An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 filed in connection with Kolaghat Police Station Case No.81 of 2026 dated 02.02.2026 under Sections 115(2)/126(2)/3(5)/351(2)/62/64/74/77 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023; Ramkrishna Maji Versus The State of West Bengal & Anr. Mr. Anghuman Chakraborty Mr. S.S. Saha. …for the petitioner. Mr. Goutam Dey. …for the State. Affidavit-of-service filed by the petitioner be kept with the record. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in connection with the instant case and the major accusations are against another person who has been granted bail. It has also been stated that the present case is a counterblast of the FIR initiated at the behest of another accused. Learned advocate for the State has produced the case diary. 2 I have taken into account the statement of the victim under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C. as well as the medical/injury report which is appearing. Having regard to the statement made at the time of admission before the doctor and the reflections which are surfacing in the medical report, I am of the view that this is not a fit case for granting anticipatory bail. Accordingly, CRM(A)2696 of 2026 is dismissed. Memo of Evidence submitted by the State be kept with the record. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
