The writ petitioner alleges inaction on the part of the respondent WBSEDCL authorities in considering the petitioner’s representation dated December 18, 2025 requesting for taking appropriate steps for addressing the issue of low voltage by “drawing a 440 volt high voltage line/ upgrading structure”. 3. Having heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and having considered the material on record, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the Station Manager, WBSEDCL, Digha Customer Care Centre to consider and dispose of the petitioner’s representation dated December 18, 2025 (annexure at page 32 of the writ petition) as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks from date. 4. If the Station Manager, finds that the petitioner’s grievance is genuine, the Station Manager would 2 take appropriate corrective steps for redressing the petitioner’s grievance, in accordance with law. In case, the petitioner is required to comply with any formality or make any payment of any charge to the WBSEDCL, the petitioner would be free to do so in accordance with law, in order to get the redressal requested. 5. It is made clear that this is Court has not gone into the merits of the petitioner’s case and the representation would be decided by the Station Manager on its own merits strictly in accordance with law. 6. The Station Manager would pass a reasoned order within the said period of four weeks and communicate the same to the petitioner within a week of passing thereof. 7. The Station Manager shall conduct necessary inspection and afford an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. It is reiterated that the entire exercise will be completed by the Station Manager within four weeks from date. 8. WPA 21781 of 2026 stands disposed of. No Costs. 9. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities. (Om Narayan Rai, J.) 3
