ORAL ORDER
The petitioner is before this court seeking the following relief:
"WHEREFORE, the petitioner above named most humbly prays that this Hon'ble court may be pleased to permit the petitioner to compound the offence and quash the FIR filed against the petitioner in Crime No.154/2026 of Banashankari Police on the file of 2nd ACJM Court at Bangalore for the offence P/u 115(2), 351(2), 352, 49, r/w 3(5) of BNS by allowing this application in the interest of justice and equity."
2. During the subsistence of the subject proceedings, the parties to the lis have settled the dispute among themselves and filed a I.A.No.1 for Compromise along with an affidavit. The I.A.No.1 for Compromise reads as follows:

I.A.NO.1 FOR COMPROMISE
"1. It is submitted that, the Petitioner No.1 being the building owner where the husband of the Respondent No.2 worked and died, wherein the Petitioner No.1 and Respondent No.2 have arrived for a settlement, wherein the Petitioner No.1 has agreed to pay a sum of Rs. 16,50,000/- to the Respondent No.2 and her children as compensation towards the death of the deceased, wherein the Respondent No.2 has agreed for the same. 2. I submit that, Petitioner and Respondent No.2 have entered into an Agreement dated 17.09.2025 between each other in order to settle the dispute involved in Crime No.523/2025, as per the terms and conditions of the Agreement I have agreed to pay a sum of Rs.16,50,000/- to the Respondent No.2, out of which petitioner have paid a sum of Rs.1,50,000/- to the Respondent No.2. The amount of Rs.2,00,000/- each totally to Rs.6,00,000/-shall be made FD in the names of the three children Gautami (8 years), Navami (5 years) and Akshay (2 years) on 19-09-2025 and agreed to give the FDs to the Respondent No.2. After negotiation, the respondent No.2 requested and assurance made by her, the petitioner give the cheque in her favour she will deposit the same in the names of her children since the petitioner had issued cheque of Rs.7,00,000/- in favour of the Respondent No.2.
Further petitioner have agreed that after the final

judgement of the said case he had agreed to pay a sum of Rs.9,00,000/- as per the terms and condition, today Petitioner is paid a sum of Rs.9,00,000/- to respondent No.2 by way of Axis Bank DD bearing No. 009333 dated 05.03.2026 and petitioner had paid a sum of Rs.50,000/- to the respondent No.2 by way of cash whereas in total the Respondent No.2 has received total a sum of Rs. 16,50,000/-(Rupees Sixteen Lakhs fifty thousand only) from the petitioner. 3. It is submitted that, the Respondent No.2 has agreed all the terms and conditions of the Joint Memo and also affixed her signature and also further agreed that she has no any further claims against the petitioner. Wherefore, Petitioner and respondent No.2 prays that this hon'ble court may be pleased to pass the order as prayed in the petition in the ends of justice and equity."
3. In the light of the settlement arrived at between the parties, I deem it appropriate to accept the compromise application and close the proceedings against the petitioner in the subject petition. - 5 -

4. The crime so registered against the petitioner pursuant to the crime in Crime No.154/2026 stands quashed. 5. For the aforesaid reasons, the following:
ORDER (i) Criminal Petition is disposed. (ii) Impugned further investigation in Crime No.154/2026, registered by Banashankari Police Station, Bangalore, pending on the file of 2nd ACJM Court, Bangalore, stands quashed qua the petitioner.
