In Re : Suniram Soren @ Soniram Soren and others
... Petitioners.
Ms. Jeenia Rudra, Ms. Sukanya Banerjee
... For the Petitioners.
Mr. Amal Kumar Datta, Mr. Jnip Bose
... For the State.
Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are in custody for more than ten months and charge-sheet has already been submitted before the jurisdictional court. However, there has been no progress in the case. Learned advocate appearing for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail and produces the case diary. I have taken into account the statement of the victim and on an assessment of the same, I am of the opinion that at this stage it is not a fit case for releasing the petitioners on bail. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioners is rejected. Memo of Evidence submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record.
2 The application for bail, being CRM (M) 1154 of 2026, is, thus, dismissed. All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
