For the Respondent nos. 6 to 16 The petitioner who is the Pradhan of Bangitola Gram Panchayat has assailed the notice of meeting issued on 12th August, 2026 and the meeting scheduled to be held this day on the ground that the period of 30 days as stipulated in Section 12(10) of the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973 has expired and the motion has lapsed. In an earlier writ petition filed by the private respondents being WPA 20819 of 2026, this Court has dealt with the issue which is the subject matter of the present writ petition and by an order passed on 17th August, 2026 has directed the police authority to render necessary assistance to the Prescribed Authority for the meeting scheduled to be held today. Since the issue involved herein has already been decided by this Court earlier, the present application is barred by the principles of res judicata and is accordingly dismissed.
