Court No. 6 (265719) 20.08.2026 (AD 12) (S. Banerjee) CO 2740 of 2026 Md. Hammad Ansari Vs. Md. Sanaullah Ansari & Anr. Ms. Farah Anjum …for the petitioner This application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is at the instance of the plaintiff praying for a direction upon the learned Judge 6th Bench, City Civil Court at Calcutta to dispose of Title Suit No. 569 of 2015 expeditiously. From the order-sheets appended to this application this Court finds that April 23, 2026 was fixed for further evidence of PWs and the evidence of the plaintiff’s witness was adjourned on that occasion on account of a resolution taken by the local Bar Association. It appears from the order dated April 23, 2026 that July 14, 2026 was fixed for further evidence of the PWs. In view of the order sought and proposed to be passed, there is no necessity to direct issuance of any notice upon the opposite parties. However, the learned advocate-on-record of the petitioner shall be 2 obliged to forward a copy of this application along with a server copy of this order, upon the opposite parties or upon the learned advocate representing them before the learned trial judge forthwith. In the light of the submission made by the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner this revisional application stands disposed of by requesting the learned Judge 6th Bench, City Civil Court at Calcutta to take up the hearing of the suit for evidence of the plaintiff’s witness on the next date and make an endeavour to dispose of Title Suit No. 569 of 2015 as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties keeping in mind that the suit is pending since 2015.
