JUSTICE M.NAGAPRASANNA ORAL ORDER The petitioner is before the Court calling in question the proceedings in Special Case No.234/2026 registered for offence punishable under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023 and the offences under the Atrocities Act. - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010508752026 NC: 2026:KHC:43243 CRL.P No. 11281 of 2026 2. Heard Sri. Girish, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Smt. Waheeda M.M., learned High Court Government Pleader appearing for respondent No.1. 3. The second respondent/complainant had registered the complaint on the ground that the petitioner/accused has breached the promise of marriage. After the registration of the complaint, the petitioner has realised and has offered to fulfill the promise of marriage. Therefore, this is a case where it is not a breach of promise, but fulfillment of promise of marriage and the petitioner and the second respondent/complainant have married and the certificate of marriage is also placed as an appendage to the petition. They have got married on 05.07.2026 and the certificate is issued on 16.07.2026. 4. In the light of the aforesaid circumstance, the proceedings against the petitioner must be obliterated. 5.
